Copycat scene

In this task, we have to create a copycat scene about a movie, and we have chosen twilight as it would be a great scene to show our filming and editing skills and for the actors to show theirs too. The director or twilight is Catherine Hardwicke and the producers are Wyck Godfrey, Mark Morgan and Greg Moordaian.


During the filming of the copycat scene 'Twilight' we filmed in the science lab with the actors Latoya (Eric), Caitlin (Mike), Sienna (Bella) and Jason (Edward). The filmmakers were Casey Weedall and Sophie Medd. It was edited by Casey Weedall. During the filming process, we had to shoot from the precise angles and sizes of the scene which didn't take as long as we expected (around 1 hour). Sienna and Latoya purchased costumes which were dedicated to the characters they were playing, so they were portrayed identically to the way it was in the actual scene. Some difficulties we had as filmmakers while filming the scene was moving objects out of the way that were not supposed to be in the shot, for example phones and tripods. The actors portrayed the characters perfectly and exactly how they are in the scene.

 Documentary Production Diary : Pre-Production: We had to start our short documentary project by doing some research. We each researched a short documentary that caught our eye and watched them to see how they were put together. We then learned that there are three types of documentaries: Participatory, observational and expository. We looked into what each of these meant.
