Lift

 There was a camera man sat in the lift for 3 months, analizing different types of people coming in and out the lift, such as the elderly, kids, middle aged people, and even animals. Each person had a different personality so it made the documentary interesting. The documentary went into a lot of detail, cutting from the people in the lift to the lift going up and down. There was even a fly that the camera man kept cutting to in the lift and it got older throughout to show the passing of time.

REVIEW

I think the documentary was really interesting and was made really well. It was very detailed. The camera man made sure he got different angles/zoom ins of people at the right time. He got the interesting people in the documentary and cut people out who people may not have been as interested in. One thing i would change is that he could put the times of day, what day it was etc as it could have shown the change in people over time.

 Documentary Production Diary : Pre-Production: We had to start our short documentary project by doing some research. We each researched a short documentary that caught our eye and watched them to see how they were put together. We then learned that there are three types of documentaries: Participatory, observational and expository. We looked into what each of these meant. This was all done in small tasks in groups or pairs over the course of a couple of lessons, whilst we also watched some examples of professional documentaries.  After we had a few lessons learning about documentaries, it was time to start thinking about our own. We first decided what type of documentary we wanted to make (mine was participatory/observational), and then choose a topic we enjoyed, to make it on.
