Final Film Paperwork

My audition script was made because this was to give to the actors so they were able to audition for the role that they wanted. I made one for each character so I could give it to whoever was auditioning for each role. I had them send me audition tapes over teams of them reading out this script which is how i chose my cast. This process took around a week and a half.
The call sheets were made so that the actors knew what was happening on each day of filming. The purpose of these were to tell the actors the date of filming, the times, the costume and props, and the location of filming. This was given to them a few days in advance to give them time to prepare if something was not quite right. On these, they also had the contact teams number of each member of the cast and crew in case of an emergency. This also had what scenes you were filming that day, so the actors had time to go over their lines if need be, and can get everything sorted for that scene.
The purpose of the casting calls was to notice and give information to the actors about your film. These include things such as what your film is about, in a brief explanation as it is more appealing, the key dates of filming and deadlines, contact teams numbers, and a bit about the characters so the actors know who they want to audition for. You had to make these short and snappy so they stand out to the actors as if it is too long no one will be interested.
The purpose of costume lists, and character breakdown lists, were all about costume and other things we would need on set. The costume breakdowns are more for the actors, so they can see what they need to wear, and if they own it already or not, and a list of the main items they would need to wear, and the costume and props list were mainly for me to stay organised and help me remember if there is anything missing or if there is anything i will need on set that i don't have. This also had a list of equipment on it so i knew what i had to take and would need, and know where I would need to get it from.
The release forms are just forms that the actors need to sign if they want to be part of the film. This includes things like if the actors would be okay being on you tube, and if they are okay being filmed and it being shown to others. All i had to do with these was print them off, ask the actors to sign them telling them what it is about and put them back in my folder.
The risk assessments were to ensure the safety of everyone on set at all times. This included the cast and crew and members of the public or anyone who may have been around at the time of filming. With these, we had to put the description of the production, and write in anything that may be a safety hazard to anyone on set, minor or major. For example, traffic was one of them, and although is is a very small chance, you still need to write it in for caution. These then had to be signed by a member of staff to ensure that they are okay.
These scheduling cards helped keep everyone organised with dates of filming, and when everyone is out doing it, where they are and who they are with. We had to make each card for every scene we had. These included things like where we are, what scene we were doing, which actors we were taking, and the dates and time of this filming day. We had to print and cut them out and put them on a massive piece of paper, with everyone's on, wherever we could fit it in.

The scene breakdown was a very important part of the pre-production paperwork process as it broke down each scene of what it was about, so made it a lot easier to write the script as you knew exactly what you wanted in each scene, to help visualise what you wanted. For each scene, you had to write down what you wanted to happen in  each scene, the time of day it was, the location and thee scene number. My scene breakdown is now a lot different to my actual script as it has been changed quite a few times.
The script is the most important part of pre-production paperwork as it is the thing that ties the whole film together in the end. This was the longest process as you had to make sure you got it absolutely perfect. Once it was, you gave it to the actors to look over and learn their lines as soon as possible. The script played a big part in it all because you write it how you want your film to look. When on set and telling them the lines, you have to vision how it will actually look when edited and how you want the actors to say their lines. I redrafted my script three times, the first one was just little changes to the lines, the second one was the most drastic as the whole story line and ending changed. Once it was done I actually really liked it.
The shot lists we a huge part of the paperwork as you had to think very carefully about how it is going to look when making this. The purpose of it, is that when your on set, it makes things a lot easier as you can just fin the scene your doing, and look at what shots you need to do instead of trying to work out how itis going to look in your head on the spot. The shot lists include the scene number and shot number, the type of shot that it is, and what happens in each shot.

The green light pitch was what we had to show Kelly to get to start filming if it was up to standard. We had to do this twice to make sure everything was good and we knew what we were doing with it.

Documentary

Documentary Production Diary : Pre-Production: We had to start our short documentary project by doing some research. We each researched a short documentary that caught our eye and watched them to see how they were put together. We then learned that there are three types of documentaries: Participatory, observational and expository. We looked into what each of these meant. This was all done in small tasks in groups or pairs over the course of a couple of lessons, whilst we also watched some examples of professional documentaries.  After we had a few lessons learning about documentaries, it was time to start thinking about our own. We first decided what type of documentary we wanted to make (mine was participatory/observational), and then choose a topic we enjoyed, to make it on. My first idea was to do with animals, I was thinking a puppy training class, or a puppies journey during this. However this was difficult as I needed many people's permission, which I failed to get, an...
